I went to Maddy's in Decatur over the weekend for some meat and stumbled onto their music scene. They have live music six days per week. And luckily for old people like me, the music starts early enough that I don't have to miss my bedtime. It's lively and fun blues.
As you can see, I had a chicken and ribs combo. I finally figured out how they finish the ribs, which should have been obvious from the first. They put some sauce on the ribs, then cook them over an open fire for a few minutes. That explains the char on the sauce. The BBQ is still quite good.
